Last Thursday Evening, made his escape at Middletown, (from Capt. Edward Clark of Rutland, in the County of Worcester, and Province of Massachusetts-Bay) a Molatto Slave, about 18 years old, bushy Hair, of a middling Stature, well made and sturdy; has lost the first Joint of one of his Fore-Fingers, speaks good English, had on a red Baize Jackout without Sleeves, Leather Breeches, blue Stockings, and a Pair of Pumps. Whoever shall take up said Runaway, and secure him in any of his Majesty’s Goals, and send me word, or convey him to me at Rutland, shall receive three Dollars Reward, and all necessary Charges paid byJune 30, 1766 Edward Clark.
